I don't think it was ever intended to be a point of interest but i'd love to see it. I doubt Hara gave it a second thought. Could have been GH's, multiples of FD's etc. I'm still praying that Han have an OG GG but those hopes have almost gone.
I really hope Ousen gets involved but i kinda can't see it?
I don't like these current numbers tbf. I want to see a classic, close contest with even numbers. Granted i understand the reasons why they are lob sided.
An 86 implies he is talented, can bust his way through numbers of men when required and has no real fear of the battlefield normally (unlike GHM, RSJ etc), but he isn't someone who specialises in it. He relies on his brains more than anything. That appears to fit in with his character which...
Riboku has absolutely played all of Ousen, SHK and Kanki here. They've danced to his tune since the moment Ousen chose Gian. which is what Riboku wanted + expected.
I'm sure Kanki has a response coming though.
The numbers are too different for my liking but that's only because i am/we are looking at this Gian battle in isolation. The reality is this war began long ago. It was Ousen and Kanki vs Riboku. Riboku built a wall, knowing that Ousen would target Gian because of it. Ousen had to act in haste...
Moubu is the strongest warrior. He claimed that title when he defeated Kanmei; a GG whose record was based largely on martial might and still considered a candidate for #1 in China by SHK himself. Kanmei beat Oukotsu, he was rated 99, he had a battle that was settled in front of all of China, to...
Enjoyable chapter.
My takes;
- I think Riboku and Zhao left the loot there to keep Kanki's army happy and motivated. He wants them to push forward.
- Ordo has a new beast...nice.
- I think it's a shame Hara didn't use this chance to show us another Yan general though.
- Ordo is quite switched...
Kyoukai is a good character but her power level is awfully inconsistent. It's just bad.
One minute, she's on the battlefield and yet hardly exists. The next minute, she's on the battlefield and is the next Kyou, comparable to Shin, Mouten and Ohon.
I hope it happens but ultimately it is just too far away from how Oda operates. He absolutely sticks to his rigid way of storytelling + love for Luffy (far too much, IMO). This is ultimately the Luffy show and everyone else is a backup dancer.
Mougou was really well written. He went on a proper journey as a character, was able to evolve and ultimately finished at the top. Ouki was well written too.
I think Moubu is another one. The journey he went through from Bayou to the Coalition Arc was very well done.
To be honest, this has been my view for a decade and I think it has become even more profound as time has gone on. I started to dislike Luffy even before the time skip. Or rather, the emphasis on him.
Probably because I'm a Zoro-tard, but w/e.
Man'U does remain a bit of a mystery. He calls himself empty or shallow, but his own men have said he is still carrying something (and was told to keep quiet, implying it was no lie) and Juuko'ou said something was awakened the moment he spotted Moubu.
That was always my assumption but having seen Hakuki's physical size and stats (86), combined with the possibility that Tairoji appears to enjoy slicing up defenceless women, kinda makes me think he isn't this brave figure who charges head first into battles.
Just a bit of fun since we'll likely never know, but going by simple design (and I guess a tiny bit of knowledge on Tairoji), what would you predict for the 3 FD's who were killed by Earl Shi? What type of Generals are they and what are the stats?
Tairoji - The wife killer
Shousen - The fan...
By taking away all major underlings, and by simply putting these two in a battledome scenario, we actually restrict Ousen far more than Renpa. He loses pieces and situation variables for him to manipulate, which is his greatest strength.
This is a head on clash, and for that reason I think...
I don't think there's a big gap between Ordo and a very young GHM (who was inferior to Reiou, even 2-3 years later) and Keisha tbf. I'd definitely have Ordo over GHM in the mountains, for eg.
