A 1 considering that it got so bad that I dropped it. It had a few peak moments and only a select amount of good characters that I can count on one hand, but all that pale in comparison to the Pre-TS. The only thing I can give Post over Pre is Doffy's characterization compared to other villians...
I know that she always berates Zoro as she (rightfully) assumes that he looks down on women, but when did she show interest in defeating Zoro as of recent?
Yet she got easily handled by Monet, and unlike Tashigi, Koby had consistent focus in the narrative and power since Marine Ford. Tashigi...
While I agree with you that Zoro's dream has been treated extremely poorly by Oda in so many ways, I don't understand why Zoro's the only one consistently criticized in the dream aspect as pretty much all the Straw Hats dream weren't handled well at all, and in many ways worse than Zoro's. Even...
There's no need for that when you have plot armor. Sure, most of the Straw Hats would get utterly humiliated by a Logia user, but even the Straw Hats know that'll never happen, and therefore there's no point of taking such preventive measures.
Nusjuro and Warcury seems to be the most unquestioning of the actions of the World Government and the current hierarchy of things.
Mars seems rather indifferent one way or another as far as I can tell
Saturn was doing stuff behind the World Government's back, though he said it was for the...
Yea. It's simply idiotic for Luffy and the crew to eat up Lilith's explanation of Vegapunk not actually being dead because she's alive, yet simultaneously have Kizalu's pouting about Vegapunk being dead, and have the audience feel bad for Kizalu when we hear Lilith explaining the Vegapunk isn't...
Indeed. Loda can't have his cake and eat it too. If Lilith truly is Vegapunk, then Kizaru's making a mountain out of a mole hill as York, who is also Vegapunk, is alive as well.
Vegapunk wasn't even smart enough to lay the blame on the World Government. Most of Vegapunk's rambling was him revealing secrets of the world, yet never really revealing why these hidden facts of the world were kept away from the public. In all honesty, his message did little to no damage to...
Queen thought he was in control in Udon at the time, while in Onigashima there was a war occurring, and he was in the middle of battle against a guy who's so fast that he disappeared from sight. The two situations aren't comparable enough for the flaw to reasonably play out similarly.
Though...
I understand that having unrealistic expectations usually sets you up for disappointment, but most of my expectations were from the story. My comment was moreso about the factual connections Zoro has with Wano that go further and deeper than Chopper's with Zou.
The Zoro and Chopper comparison...
That is a nasty comparison. The only similarity Chopper has with the Minks is that he's an anthromorphic animal with comparable intelligence to humans. They aren't really even the same species.
In Zoro's case, Zoro's home village is a branch of Wano heritage. Zoro's sword style is influenced by...
It's crazy how right you are. Even I wasn't critical about the writing at the time. Wonder if the reason for that was because expectations blinded me, or I couldn't care less about the writing at that point. I definitely changed how I post about One Piece.
Edit: I did care about Hiyori getting...
