I'm sure no one thought Rayleigh was gonna fight Super Sommers in God Valley either, everyone was saying he's "Gaban's rival."
Look how that turned out.
Using a "Luffy just says things" argument to reject something happening in the chapter is pointless. Using that logic Luffy shouldn't have fought Kaido, Kizaru, or anyone.
He said that line for a reason, and with Luffy and Loki moving on to Imu, someone needs to fight Super Sommers.
Oda's at least...
Luffy wants Super Sommers to remember Zoro. Sets up Zoro vs Super Sommers.
Sanji's far away near killingham. I expect these 2 to run into eachother next chapter.
Carrot had set up by travelling with the crew to WCI and losing Pedro. But it turned out that she was just the editors fetish so he inserted her into the story more than she was supposed to be.
Bonney also makes sense with Kuma saving the crew 600 chapters ago, her having no where to go. But...
Big Mom will return with Kaido's soul as her new homie (so Kaido's dead).
Then both of them will be used as hypetools for 1 of Blackbeard, Akainu, Imu, or someone else.
I think the crew will have their hands full with Domi reverse Dorry/Brogy & either Dr Loki or just Imu. Plus 2 HK and Nightmare army. We don't have enough allies to fight Sanji too.
Plus there might be that rule u can only get DR on the island you are born.
Sanji not arriving this chapter makes me think he's not coming to this side of the island where Super Sommers is.
Right now his position on the map would put him closest to Killingham who was at the library.
Thinking about it, Sanji's fears have been a focus in the manga, whether it is his fear of...
Sanji not arriving this chapter despite kids falling and women getting stabbed, and Nami very likely telling him to go save the kids, does seem odd. He definitely sensed all this happening. Maybe he saw the future and knew Loki would save them?

At this point, Oda gonna copy Naruto and give all HKs seal a "Stage 2 transformation".
Not sure how else they can be threat when acoc basically beats their one advantage which was their immortality.
Since Oda went the "Exoskeleton route" I want there to actually be more use for it than just Sanji using it no different from tekkai/coA hardening, otherwise there's no point. It should be similar to a paramecia df.
Also Theoretically, he can be the next generations BigMom/Kaido in terms of...
I think the main issue with Super Sommers is that his main challenge was the whole "hugging someone you love covered with thorns" scenario which just got resolved this chapter with the parents. Sommer's dialogue and whole character was about that one thing.
I don't see Oda repeating that for Sanji...
No, postskip flashbacks are mostly filler.
Like did we need to spend 3 chapters on Ginny? We spent much less on most strawhats moms combined.
And like 8 chapters for the whole Kuma/Bonney flashback? Now look at how irrelevant Bonney is this arc. She has like 5 panels and has done less than most...
Queen was still a threat without his virus. No one else was strong enough to take him down. Plus he had the whole MADs connection with Judge, making their fight personal.
Super Sommers can get killed by 2 characters who just showed up right in front of him. He has no connection to Sanji. His whole...
Sanji has been carrying a sword all arc. He reached Robin last chapter. 99% chance he's already cut the thorns and freed Robin offscreen. No reason to fight Super Sommers.
It's not even guaranteed beating Super Sommers will make thorns disappear anyways. Like y'all want Robin just standing there wrapped in...
