Cool theory. I don't necessarily think they should've been merged into one character, but I agree that Orochi had a bunch of wasted potential. We've had too many of the "cowardly ugly rulers" now. Orochi could've been an actual interesting villain if the story took him more seriously and Oda...
This is my theory as well. A third party will fuck them up, and we might get a few silent panels of the wreckage of the ship and the injured/dead pirates, with Blackbeard and co. (or someone else entirely) standing victorious on top of them.
That'd still be a waste of a crew, but at least it'd...
Hawkins was one of my favorite Supernova after Sabaody. Such a cool design, a badass DF, and a cool character gimmick that is very relevant to the themes of the story about fate and destiny. What Oda did to him in this arc is criminal. He had the potential to be one of the most interesting...
The way I see it, Yamato isn't really trans, but if tomorrow Oda came out and explicitly stated that she's actually trans, then I would respect that.
Based on some of these comments, though, it's clear there's a bunch of edgelords in here that would still cry about it. I bet we'd see losers...
I think this is the first thread of yours I fully agree with. I can see this happening, especially the forest regrowth part.
One question though: If the SHs are now able to fend off an Admiral, how do you think Oda will be able to make them feasible threats in the final war?
By future, do you mean "after the series is over", or the more immediate future? Because I think that the weight of Wano's sins, at least in terms to lore, worldbuilding, and character growth, will depend largely on the future of the story. For example, if in a future arc we get an extensive...
I don't think the WG is going to do anything, honestly. The marines were heading to Wano with the intent to invade it in the event that Kaido and Big Mom got defeated. Yet for some reason they're now chickening out because Wano is "impenetrable"? It's not a good look for the WG, in terms of...
I don't think he's there with the intention to fight, but if he were to be portrayed as a legitimate threat to Luffy and the others who are YC1 level or above, then yes, he's stronger.
Even if you told me that Luffy couldn't beat Greenbull on his own, what's stopping them all from doing a 6v1...
Not surprised. When we spend too much time in echo chambers, it's really easy to get our perspectives distorted. At the end of the day, we're just a very loud minority shitposting through the pain. catded
I like this place because it's one of the rare OP communities where you aren't expected...
Funny how this image perfectly shows how much her relevance has waned. She's now in the same level of importance as fucking Speed.
This is the fabled "Carrot part" that Carrot4Nakama said leakers were trying to hide, btw. Poor guy. :catcry:
Oda really did Carrot so dirty.
I'll feel more hype when we get the inevitable full page reveal of his design. They carry much more impact and weight.
Those tiny ass panels he's been using lately never really hype me up.
If this were the case, Oda should have included her in that scene too. It's such an easy fix, and it's a shame that we'll probably never get to see Kiku mourn her brother.
I genuinely think he may have forgotten.
:josad:
I respect the theory itself, and I don't want to mock those who just wanted to get a cool ending with nice thematic parallels. However, the ZKK Believers that made sure to shitpost the hell out of this for the last few years totally had this coming. It makes this too funny not to enjoy.
Better...
So this is how ZKK dies? Not with a bang, but with a bath scene?
My biggest gripe with the chapter is that Kiku didn't get to mourn Izo. Oda could've easily had her in the mourning scene AND in the bath scene, if he really wanted to. And frankly, I actually thought the bath scene was cute...
It's strange, because pre-timeskip I got the feeling that Usopp was one of his favorites. He got more growth and gags than a lot of the other Strawhats, and he played a very specific role in the crew as the everyman, which led to a great dynamic between him and the others.
I have no idea what...
Remember when Oda introduced Attack Cuisine in Kamabakka Island, and made a big deal about Sanji learning the 99 recipes? And essentially nothing has come from that? Like, at all?
Why did Oda introduce this as part of Sanji's training if it was never going to be relevant
