I used to think it would finish on the 30th anniversary in 2027, but probably won't even be done in 2030. I think the final war will be the longest arc (Oda can't help himself, even if there won't be civillians on an island, it's a multi-faction clash with tons of characters, fights and...
Straw Hats against the World Government directly once again after Egghead is a nice recipe. If they didn't get updates from then, things are gonna be really crazy post-Elbaph. Dorry and Broggy have 1.8 billion, if Zoro and Sanji beat them I wouldn't be shocked if they approach that (Wano made...
Yeah, I don't think the importance of the trio is tied to how close they are in strength, just emphasizes they're the clear top 3 and that goes along with them being Luffy's trusty Wings. Sanji closer to Jimbei than Luffy seems reasonable, I agree with that.
Carrot and Yamato were the last new additions I could see working, as of now I only really see Vivi joining as the honorary Straw Hat turned official 11th member. Loki could be a great ally, but I don't think he'll join the crew. He could work just fine independently, making strides for his...
Yeah, the Monster Trio is an important dynamic in the series and it never left, Oda even reiterated with the Pirate King and his Wings thing. Jimbei is great, but the idea of a new Monster Trio forming never held up since Oda never bothered to showcase that in the series (whether it be Yamato or...
Perhaps, I always just considered the King of Hell flames a quality of Zoro's new power-up with him incorporatimg Conqueror's haki, but it's possible it's also him applying Kinemon's technique.
At this point, I expect Zoro to become the World's Strongest Swordsman and the greatest swordsman ever. He can surpass Ryuma, Luffy gaining a legend in Wano reminiscient of Ryuma doesn't remove him from being a goalpost for Zoro. Luffy reaching heights never before seen just means it's likelier...
Sengoku would (they'd probably talk more on Corazon), but Law and his submarine escaped the Marines at Marineford, I'm sure his crew got him away and evaded capture.
Luffy, but ideally Dragon and Akainu clash prior to that especially if they have personal history together. Sabo doesn't need to face Akainu, he just needs to face a top-tier and go far.
That fight will be Luffy getting back for his brother and for the physical and mental scar Akainu left. He's not leaving any other permanent markings on Luffy. It'll be an intense fight though and Luffy will need to really show off his ACOA (haki barriers) to not get scarred further, but he'll...
I just assumed it was somehow connected with his flame-cutting technique (then again Zoro didn't do that or see a need to). I don't think it's passion related.
Sanji already got science boosts, I don't see a need for further upgrades, he can improve his haki which in conjuction with his germa enhancements will take him far. Future Sight and improving his armament should be good for the near future as power-ups. Gaban having COC increases the chances...
We've seen more from Blackbeard and Teach than Imu, especially character-wise. Imu's still a massive mystery even down to their design and the nature of their means of granting abilities and possession. Akainu will be faced first by Luffy, we're most familiar with him and his moves save for an...
6 billion range is my bet, dude leads the Revolutionary Army and has for some time. Must be ridiculously notorious, man directly wages war by liberating nations. Hopefully we get the figure and/or his fruit reveal this year.
I like Jimbei and he's obviously strong, hope Oda has him get some good showings to make up for his current predicament. Gunko's a lady, so Sanji would've been screwed but we'll just have to see how Oda portrays Sanji when he returns before saying if X happened to Jimbei, it'd happen to Sanji...
Gaban was pretty amazing, great showings and portrayal and was overcome due to his love for his son. If that's an L, so be it, even in his old age he walked over Super Sommers then had to deal with Gunko using his kid against him. Gaban's ended up a pretty solid addition to the story this arc.
Honestly, interesting chapter and I can't wait for the next two to really see where things go and the match-ups. I'm liking Imu so far and I hope Oda develops them well in the final saga, Luffy vs Akainu (hopefully), Luffy vs Teach and Luffy vs Imu may make for some really good confrontations...
I'd expect Chopper to treat Gaban, maybe next chapter ends with Luffy and company's arrival. Dorry and Broggy are headed to Imu so we'll see how easily they can handle them. Maybe they restore Super Sommers as well. I'd expect Robin to go after the library if she weren't tied up.
I mean, he's a top-tier so yeah he's one of the strongest but he seems like he isn't at his peak yet (I expect a third fruit). When he is and we get Shanks vs Teach, people will rate him higher, but he doesn't seem like he's the strongest top-tier or anything yet. I think it's fine for people to...
I think Mihawk having armament haki so good that few can replicate is fine. Not everyone has Future Sight, not everyone has ACOC, black blade is just even more rare than that. Of course we'll have to find out the exact requirements eventually.
