I think Gaban finishing Super Sommers works fine, the other Holy Knights can try and blackmail him with his kids (meanwhile Franky and Ripley and others are already on pursuit to save the kids so hopefully they prevent any interference). The other two Holy Knights will have different opponents most...
Gunko just has a great fruit plus regeneration, Jimbei not having a response yet, getting captured and trying to think of something isn't the end of the world. Gunko hype for sure, but I'm sure Oda will have Jimbei accomplish something against Gunko even if he doesn't beat her 1v1.
Gaban will get his shine and look good against Super Sommers, and maybe even both Super Sommers and Killingham, while Robin helps save the kids and the library. Gunko's still around too, so hopefully Jimbei and co. break out and help. Luffy and co. will arrive eventually, but for now this is a chance to...
We'll see how Oda resolves the issues with the Holy Knights. Gaban is gonna get his shine for now, but once Luffy and co arrive, if they take over it'll be a matter of whether Gunko faces off against Jimbei and friends or she faces someone else (wouldn't shock me if Loki gets a Holy Knight...
Sanji's jobbing to top-tiers now (making moves one way or another), someone had to take over jobbing to characters below that level. I'm somewhat joking, but honestly it happens, I prefer fewer characters being immune to looking bad, and as long as Jimbei makes up for it then it won't be too bad.
Jimbei can easily redeem himself if the tied up Straw Hats are the main contributors to Gunko's downfall in a rematch (maybe with some extra support). But he'll still be number 4, that's just how it is. If Oda doesn't even give him that, that'll be pretty wild but it happens sometimes.
I mean wouldn't Zoro defeating Nusjuro, one of the highest ranking Celestial Dragons/Gods, accomplish that, in conjuction with Zoro besting the World's Strongest Swordsman? I'm sure his name will reach the heavens.
I want Big Mom as the surprise villain. She had a real colorful crew and I'd love to see Smoothie and others get decent showings and it'd do well for the crew as well to face them. The mothers could be another hint that Oda will bring her back, but also maybe not. I don't see a point in Big Mom...
Fine set up chapter. Much better for Robin than last chapter seemed, so hopefully she succeeds at freeing the kids and stopping the destruction of the library while getting action.
Gaban will look monstrous against the Holy Knights. If someone manages to save the kids, maybe he won't get...
Revolutionary Army vs Holy Knights makes sense to me. Maybe some Straw Hats get some opponents from them too, but I don't know.
I think Zoro, Sanji and maybe Loki will be tasked with defeating the Holy Knights on Elbaph. Gaban will probably show off and look great before the hostage thing with...
I think that'd be great. Would hype up Gaban further and give the audience an idea of what the Straw Hats and other characters will have to do to overcome regeneration when they encounter it.
I do look forward to whether Oda has Kizaru face a Straw Hat in the final war or not. I'm sure he's closer to changing his stance than someone like Aramaki or Akainu, but by the end of Egghead, Kizaru claimed to still be willing to do his duty even against his personal wishes. Sanji vs Kizaru...
Cross Guild vs the Navy (Sengoku and some strong fighters) would be great. If they bust folks out of Impel Down for new recruits, that'd be a great chance too.
Then Straw Hats vs Cross Guild for Zoro vs Mihawk wherever Oda wants to place that.
As for Dragon, a clash with the Holy Knights...
Yeah, Jimbei seems like the main Straw Hat Oda hasn't made room for lately aside from Brook. Usopp's just weak, but Jimbei is strong so it's strange he hasn't had more involvement in arcs that have a lot of fighting.
I do think it'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Oda can easily just have Gunko handle herself, maneuver around Jimbei and get Colon while styling on the weaker Straw Hats, but there's nothing really stopping a straight up fight. It'll make clear just how far his respect for Jimbei...
Oda usually prefers not to humiliate Jimbei, but when a character is strong and presented as formidable anything can happen (I recall Kata treating him as a non-issue once). I think maybe given the circumstances. It would be massive hype if she beats Jimbei and the weaker Straw Hats. Shows the...
