Realize that both Shanks and Blackbeard are now more closely tied to the world government than we thought. Shanks is all but confirmed to be a celestial dragon and the gorosei knows about it. Blackbeard now wants to be a recognized king and has Garp hostage. Also both these characters are likely...
As of now, there's no real evidence to suspect that he's not human. Like you say celestial dragons think of themselves as gods so they look down on people and his form might just be a devil fruit with a bit more lore that we will get later on.
I think one of the major themes that Oda has been...
Kind of disappointing that we got two admirals fight in this arc and it was more about exchanges than an actual fight. Didn't need to be 5 chapters long but feels like it should at least be a full chapter without cutaways
Maybe the "great cleansing" is a worldwide hunt to eradicate all opposing sides as a reset. That's why Lulusia was eliminated as a test run. Saturn is already dealing with Vegapunk, maybe we see the other Gorosei sent out on similar missions
Does anybody know how accurate the translation is for Kuma's dad's dialogue regarding Nika? Specifically "He will one day bring you to the free ocean under the sun". Feels like we are starting to get more connections between giants and FMI
At least with Dressrosa you could tell Oda had a specific plan. Did he need 100 chapters to do it? Probably not but at least there was intention. I think with Wano he just really word-vomited everything he wanted to do and just lost track of things
My problem with Oden is that instead of exploring his character he's more or less used to provide context for Roger's journey and set up for the final saga. I mean the high point of the flashback is the he laughed moment which honestly could happen at any time in the story, like a Rayleigh...
But Blackbeard's entire character has been about not taking the direct approach. It feels like for him to fight multiple opponents would require him to get outsmarted and I don't feel like that would happen when he fights Luffy. Maybe if it's a battle royal type situation but I feel like we are...
I feel like it would actually be the reverse where Blackbeard puts Luffy through the ringer before fighting. Fits with Blackbeard's character of being an opportunist and schemer and Luffy finally becoming the strong one that needs to be handicapped
Yeah I always felt that he more closely followed the model of Whitebeard. In fact, we even learn that pirate king is just a stepping stone to his real dream and if Luffy didn't need it to get to his dream he probably wouldn't even care about it
If Saturn, and therefore the Gorosei, are strong then it’s not like Sanji’s going to beat him easily so at best they maybe stall or at worst Sanji is used as a hype tool. If he’s not strong then congrats Sanji you beat someone up that couldn’t fight back.
Like seriously what are Sanji fans...
What is the obsession with wanting more strawhats? Like most people agree the ones we have don’t get enough focus and the upcoming arcs are kind of do or die for them. Not enough copium in the world if Elbaf isn’t an Usopp arc. Just don’t see how we either integrate others we have seen into the...
Are people really not getting that this is the third time a character (Saturn, Kizaru, and Vegapunk) has referred to Bonney as a little girl? Yes, they are all older but the fact they are all referring to the same person in the same manner is the reason why people are suspicious
