It's not like it happened before Alabasta and even then it was a tag team of Usopp and Chopper. He's either saving it for something important or just doesn't care for it to happen
Where you get that from? We learn from Oden's flashback (966) that 13 years prior he made it to Lodestar and realized there was another island with treasure the WG didn't want to be found
You know that's a bad comparison. wano was 149 chapters and spent half that time building up to the fights. egghead is already like 30 chapters and 15-20 chapters of just fights while also having to wrap up everything else would probably make it one of the longest arcs in the series.
Also, if...
I don't understand it either. Just do the math. A decent fight is maybe a chapter so are we getting 9 chapters of just fights? And if they team up to get it done faster than the whole one VA per strawhat doesn't really make sense anymore does it?
I think the conflict on Egghead can get resolved in 10-15 chapters. I would assume we are done focusing on other events but who really knows at this point. Would not be shocked if the arc lasts all of next year just with covering other events
Yes it is an oda thing because of how he is using the gag for his character. If he wrote the gag for Usopp it doesn't really mess up any of Usopp's other characterization but it does for sanji. That's my point. Just because its a common trope doesnt mean you can just insert the trope anywhere...
Yeah that gag does not work with the character oda tries to make sanji out to be and really undermines a lot of the great character work for him. One of my biggest problems with Oda's writing is that he tends to have his cake and eat it too. He wants sanji to be chivalrous but also the perv and...
Right now because the plot needs it. He's supposed to be chivalrous but has peeped on his crewmates multiple times. Supposed to respect women but has a meltdown when they are beautiful for his fantasies
Let's just acknowledge that Oda's writing about Sanji and women, in general, is inconsistent and just for what the plot needs. He needs to be a simp here despite what his other characterization is, he is. He needs to ignore a woman in this instance for the plot he does
I would hate it. One thing if he lucks into finding directions but him just straight up getting there out of sheer luck would be one of those times where the gag would seriously hurt the story for me
Yeah I think there is a possibility Elbalf becoming a sequel of sorts of WCI. A lot of the plot lines set up in WCI can get resolved in Elbalf and a bunch of characters and concepts that were introduced are in position to meet again
