Pretty sure Yamato was never actually supposed to join. She and Momo explicitly parallel each other

Idk dude Smoker not being there with Tashigi is kinda conspicuous I think
Right now I'm thinking two things:
1. Kuzan is an accelerationist and sees Blackbeard as a force for political change
2. Kuzan wants to discover why the World Government needed Ohara destroyed so he can finally close this chapter of his life
Second option would probably make more sense imo...
Kuzan: No. He would've told Teach by now
Saul: He's on Elbaf and he doesn't seem to have a Devil Fruit
Dragon: Absolutely not. Pirates going to Laugh Tale, discovering the True History, and sharing that knowledge with others is good for the Revolutionaries. They would never try to stop that...
Bro shut up. Kidd gets slandered a lot but the dude is a fucking tank. Blackbeard even moreso since his whole thing is tanking tons of damage each fight
I mean based on what Teach said this chapter, I think all the Blackbeard Pirates are in it for themselves. Lafitte seems to respect Teach, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's loyal to him. I think he has faith in Teach, but only works with him because being the crewmate of the future pirate...
On the flip side though, we also had Burgess going solo in Dressrosa. So I'm not sure Lafitte is unique in that regard
I mean fair I guess. Though idk I think 2 characters doing the same thing isn't really much to go off of imo
Maybe. But I feel like the obvious direction that would go in is...
I feel like Devon's fighting Robin
Devon has the power to create illusions and she knows about Robin's past through Kuzan. I can definitely see her trying to play on Robin's trauma by recreating a buster call, showing Robin's loved ones dying, etc
I mean Sanji gets ordered around a lot by Nami, so I personally really don't see it. Sanji was the person most suited to take charge of that situation in Dressrosa, and so he did
I mean maybe, but Pizarro isn't a king anymore so I feel like the idea of him being a stand-in for the world...
I mean Lafitte is called the Chief of Staff, and that's pretty similar to Nami running day-to-day life on the Sunny
I don't mean to imply that Sanji isn't loyal to Luffy, but for Nami her growing faith in Luffy has been part of a character arc for her. Like, that moment where she said Luffy...
He was shown acting as Teach’s advisor this chapter and Nami had that same dynamic with Luffy. Lafitte is shown to be one of the only Titanic Captains who genuinely respects Teach, and Nami’s loyalty to Luffy has been emphasized a lot recently. Lafitte’s a former sheriff and Teach’s navigator...
