Well, I guess that all just means that I'll be the worst at being "the Worst" around here then? :milaugh:
But again, thank you for the warm welcome! Happy to be here!
Like I was saying earlier, part of me thinks the reason Oda structured the fight this way was because there is actually a power gap between Yonkos and Admirals and had Luffy wait until the very last second to bother dishing out a Gear 5 attack with ACOC because Kizaru wouldn't have lasted long...
I'd say I'm loosely on the Vivi or Bonney trains, but I'm the sort of person who's comfortable with acknowledging that I could be wrong. :goyea:
And thank you for the warm welcome! I appreciate it! Hope you're doing well, man!
Definitely underwhelming thus far. Maybe we'll see a Round 2 after Oda's done with the flashbacks, but it is certainly looking like Luffy will change his target over to Saturn next.
Like you said, the whole fight amounted to a recurring game of cat and mouse with neither party actually being...
No arguments there. And like I said earlier, I'm not saying that an escape scenario won't happen here. It very well could.
My point is that whatever ultimately happens here, it will probably be a step out of the ordinary. But I could be wrong! We'll see.
Is it really a waste of time on Oda's...
Except, of those four things, I get the impression that the only one of those events that would genuinely "shock the world" would be Kizaru betraying the World Government. That's one where if Kizaru pulls a heel turn, the WG will have to respond and broadcast to everyone that a former Admiral...
An escape scenario isn't out of the question, but the fact that Oda made it a point to inform readers in-text that whatever is going to go down here at Egghead Island will shock the whole world and be remembered globally as a specific incident suggests to me that Saturn won't be getting much of...
While I think Kizaru still has a role to play in the narrative here at Egghead, I think it's clear enough that Saturn is the arc's big bad.
However it is worth keeping in mind that there's still the potential heel turn from Kizaru to look forward to. Unless Oda is aiming for a more nihilistic...
I can't take credit for this at all, but others who've pushed the theory have noted in the past that there is also references to cats in relation to the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, such as Robin's imagination when she saw Kuma's paws. It could be that if Vivi eats the fruit, she gains cat ears instead of...
That's where I'm at. I think it's more likely that Kuma dies and then Vivi inherits the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi from him, especially since it's looking very likely that Queen Lily was a previous user of the same Devil Fruit and used it to save the Poneglyphs and scatter them across the world.
I mentioned this yesterday, but the whole debate of Kizaru's state right now really reminds me of this scene...
"He did not lose to Luffy! It was a tie!"
I'll cop to being new to the fandom, but from what I could tell from lurking last week, the impression I personally had was that people...
From what I can gather, most people expected the possibility that Sanji would get Worf'd to help sell Saturn as a threat.
Hardly anyone imagined that Kizaru would be out of commission from the first proper hit of Gear 5+ACOC that Luffy landed on him.
It would be a pleasant surprise to see Kuma survive Egghead, but I think it's very likely he'll die there a hero by saving everyone and inspire Bonney to go out and see the dawn for herself.
