His CoA clashed equally with Luffy's base G5 CoC Coating.. You can see there's less CoC coating lightning cause it's naturally more potent than CoA lightning.. Luffy had to use CoC Coating to match up against Lucci's base Awakening Zoan strength which is superior to G5's base Awakening raw...
