I will also add that there is already a lot going on in that panel, especially with Kizaru's light effects, and adding lightning would create a lot of visual noise and make for ugly art. Once fans start looking at haki from an artists perspective, suddenly Oda's choices make a lot more sense.

Whether he did or didn't isn't very important in my opinion, because Kizaru was blocking all of his attacks and we already saw him block Luffy's kick with ease, which did produce lightning. But I would assume that Luffy is going out when fighting another top tier.

Haki is invisible and Oda doesn't feel like drawing crazy lightning all the time. He chooses aesthetics over consistency, so whatever makes a panel looks best is what he chooses to draw.

If he's more like Sanji then he should like Zoro more, and if he's more like Zoro he should like Sanji more. Because Zoro and Sanji are secretly in love. :risitavirus:

This is Oda we're talking about. And Ifrit destroyed Queen. One solid powerup and he's beating an admiral or a gorosei.

I think fans will be shocked after he only gets 1 more powerup before EoS.

I think Gaban uses flaming axes but not on the level of Ifrit. Same as Shanks' flaming sword technique. I don't think Rayleigh can use Asura but he uses aCoC like Zoro.

At the very least I think Sanji and Ryokugyu need to have an interaction because it would be too funny.

I've always assumed this, but Oda never gives Straw Hats this many 1v1s. Based on the pre timeskip he should only have one or two more fights left.

And I'm sure these same people assume Luffy has only used Future Sight four times in his entire life because they were the only times when it was stated.
