If Imu (likely a man) has been the strongest in the series all along, should we still take world strongest titles seriously. Imu might even use a sword as he was seen using a sword to cut those pictures
Kaido can't be the top strongest alive character by the end of the series as Black beard...
Out of the 9 schikibukai, luffy deafeted 4 of them including buggy, one of them works for him, one of them loves him, one of the is looking for him (weevil). It feels that the schikibukai was created just for luffy.
Since it has not been specifically stated or obviously implied that a character is the strongest in the series, oda can make any characters he chooses to be the strongest currently, but he can't make some particular characters the strongest due to some reasons.
Characters oda can't make to be...
Imagine it was kaido at marineford, how would he fare. remember kaido can levitate an island. Whitebeard was successful sneak attacked by the nine scabbards and whitebeard is being attacked by the protagonist (luffy and co.)
Luffy mostly land the final blow in two forms 1 hit ( doffy, katakuri, etc) or battling (lucci, crocrodile,etc.). I think it is obvious that luffy will land the final blow on kaido.
I have noticed a lot of threads about Zoro killing or defeating kaido, but I think it is not possible as the series is not about Zoro but luffy. Luffy can't fight bigmom, he is obviously fighting kaido.
I have noticed that pure brawlers like luffy, garp, etc. are underrated when compared to people that uses weapon especially sword.
I don't think sword is a weakness for strong fighters as far as their haki is better
