Zoro is chilling. He isn't even using his haki anymore. And he opted for a low tier move when first confronting King, he clearly didn't want to one-shot him.

Luffy will defeat Kaido and destroy his club so he can no longer use his traditional fighting style. Then Kaido will fully awaken, like the Jailer Beasts. Then Zoro will fight and kill awakened Kaido over the Flower Capital.

Without plot, Zoro destroys King in a few panels. With plot, probably a chapter or two.

I love Jack. He's competent, fearless, and Kaido has a soft spot for him.
