Gear 4 had Luffy using some of his awakened abilities without awakening. Once again an oddity only Luffy has shown so far or a form of quasi-awakening.
I guess you could argue Yamato is in a similar state, and it's clear your mind is set in believing every other mythic zoan would gain...
We've also seen Yamato.
Luffy is special because he's missing 99% of his fruit's powers unless he awakens, while the rest of the mythical zoans have the traits and supernatural abilities of their legendary animals pre-awakening.
He doesn't sound surprised there, he tanked Gojo's sneak attack easily "with just losing two reinforced hands when taking a direct hit".
However, he is overestimating Purple because of that. He thinks Gojo buffed the attack to 120% with a binding vow and he thinks that's what he tanked. He...
That goes back to my original post. It's very hard to determine "what" is downplaying. Am I downplaying Shanks for saying he's weaker than Mihawk? Am I downplaying Sanji for saying he can't beat Akainu next?

- Sanji top 1 durability in the verse
- Sanji top 2 strength in the verse
- Sanji top 1 fire-based abilities in the verse...
I loved World Trigger until the most recent arc. I was so excited after his year+ long hiatus ended... just for this damn arc on a monthly basis.
So I put it down and will binge the arc whenever it's finished.
If the condition to make someone immortal is to give one's life, Law should at least die 5 times to reverse it for the five of them for it to be fair.
So no.
"Plot convenience explanations on his side" = "Everything that doesn't imply my favorite's the stronger fighter is plot armor".
Your cope will never end. But don't argue with me, argue with the author and Gojo.
