The story would have been less enjoyable without the SNs and warlords tho when it came to Warlords Oda didn’t really have to make Luffy fight nearly all of them. Luffy literally could have gotten the warlord tamer for how many times he had to defeat them. Thriller Bark was unnecessary.

It simply feels weird that Oda deliberately decided to bring exactly 9 VAs plus an admiral the same number as the SHs crew as if he wants 1v1s to happen regardless of the unknown difficulty since he could make them as strong as he may please. Otherwise he could have brought a lot more or less...

I agree with that too. And that’s how Oda is setting that up, but let’s be honest there’s no need for them to be any stronger than that! It would be ridiculous to have BBPs all on YC level so the usual yonko fighters level structure is sufficient tho obviously slightly stronger.

Maybe… I don’t know to be honest, but it seems like Oda is leading up to that. Nevertheless, if it happens Oda better Zoro’s VA opponent very powerful or at least at the YC level so that it would be decently difficult fight without making Zoro looking bad nor go all out.

Shanks better get a higher bounty he deserves it tbh, any where from 4.5 to slightly below 5B is good enough and that would make Luffy going to 4B without surpassing his idol’s bounty before they meet.
