It would seem a bit left field but it looks like that’s what’s needed in this rooftop fight.

It does they need to keep the Yonko separated, since Zoro/Law aren’t in position to do it Kid took the initiative. Given what we’ve just learned about CoC and that Kid has it, makes him suitable to fight her. Hopefully he gets a haki bloom to utilise it.
