They should have matched up differently. Marco isnt getting frozen by Aokiji, and diamond reflects light. Marco and Jozu dont beat admirals but they can stall in favorable matchups (Marco could either Kizaru or Aokiji). Having said that, if Luffy and crew dont show up, its game over for them...
