The only one in the Cross Guild that needs to be beaten is Mihawk. Buggy and Croc they only need the "eye opening" finisher that they lacked during their arcs. There is no time to flesh out Crocodile. Unless you mean just beat not an actual impactful defeat.

Great scenario but that can happen in their fight as equals and only when Zoro finally reaches something that seemed impossible is when he wins. And technically fighting him on equal terms does not mean that Zoro is max power because he is on the level that is currently possible to reach. So...
