So many shonen series has nepotism all through it. Don’t see the point in singling out One Piece for it. Most series also don’t lay out the nepotism at the start either.

Pretty lame to don an avy of a series you think is shit, and spend multiple hours a week visiting and posting about that very same series. The optics are clear. Its just posturing and any other regular person would look at that and go "Yeah, ok loser. You love it."

You do realize it becomes plot point for present as well. Context to give more dynamics later in the present story. It usually always works that way.

This criticism doesn’t make sense. The whole every character looks like a Nami clone argument is lame. Look at Kubo, Toriyama, and every jojo character. The faces also look exactly the same. It’s a style of an artist.

This is an adventure and story manga first. Theres a reason why One Piece has its own scale and lore that surpasses other manga at least in terms of ambition of scale and world building. It has action and fights but it’s not about fight scenes. Never has been
