The manga went on for too long, became a glorified cash cow, and the magic got lost somewhere. Personally, I'm only moderately interested in seeing how it ends, if only because One Piece used to be something I loved, and I doubt that the ending will be truly satisfying.

It's both amusing and bemusing to see how little impactful and memorable Imu is, even compared to early antagonists such as Arlong or Crocodile (who is still one of the very best antagonists in the manga).

Tension has died a long time ago in One Piece. It's part of why the Yonko Saga, and especially Wano fell flat so spectacularly. It was supposed to be the summit of epicness for the manga, but the total absence of tension and antagonists being so handicapped while the Straw Hats and their allies...

Water Seven is the peak of the manga in terms of story.

With how female characters are generally handled in One Piece, I think that it's for the better that Ace was male.

I have asked myself the same question during the second half of WCI, and even more during and since Wano.

Tom and Jerry are funny and entertaining. Huge difference.

Too little too late

As indifferent as I am toward Imu and the Holy Knights, I don't see them falling in Elbaf.

Still no sense of tension or danger coming from Imu and the Holy Knights. Well any semblance of tension evaporated during the Yonko saga anyway.

Oda finally decided to do something with Usopp, but it's too little too late.

I also remember the Loguetown novel. It was quite nice. It did a better job with Tashigi that the manga version did.

I am still so bitter at how Oda fumbled Tashigi with his sexism.

Oh God. Please no. I absolutely loathe G5 Nika Luffy alone, Nika Bonney even more. Nika Kuma would make me throw up.
