Bro, Sanji spent his entire childhood in soldier training, then a decade of martial arts under Zeff, then two years of time-skip training. Literally 19 of his 21 years he's been in training. He was intoduced to the story as a figther cook among fighter cooks, is known to the world as Black Leg...
Zeff pretty much defined Sanji. Martial Arts, cooking, chivalry, these aspects of Sanji all came from Zeff. Makes him the strawhat background character with the most influence on a strawhat. Like you guys said, we need to explore him more. Crossing my fingers for this one.
I've also...
Ufff I forgot about that one, but it was against a Yonko, it had to be named:jordanmf:
With time I've become more and more sure about why Oda hasn't had Sanji go truly all-out. Unfortunately, it likely all stems from Oda's plan to introduce the RS. To try to justify the RS power-up for Sanji...
A usual complaint I see is Sanji's over-use of DJ and its use on low-level opponents. But Oda has kinda written DJ to be used on all levels of opponents since the beginning. The writing is at times iffy for DJ, no doubt, but the overall impression Oda wants to relay is that DJ is a mode...
Throughout the years I've come across hundreds of these comments, mainly on youtube. Inspiration to not waste ingredients, to become better at cooking, and even comments by professional chefs saying how Sanji set them on that path.
Yeah I see what you're saying. Thing is though, the reason for Sanji's refusal to use his hands is to avoid damage to them, to preserve them for cooking, and to do that to the best of his ability. That's it. But if there's a way for him to protect his hands then...you know..
Come to think of...
Btw, do you guys think gloved Sanji means he's gonna use his hands more in the upcoming events? Not for punching or anything like that, but for more infiltration-style use of his hands eg. grab, lift, throw etc.
I could live with it if the new design approaches Sanji's signature outfits. But the speed/flight boosters will always be a thorn in my side, can't help it.
As long as he uses the boosters it certainly does, fam. Not sure how to put it more clearly than I did above. Agree to disagree I guess.
The bolded is simly impossible. Sky Walk/Geppo directly contradicts the use of boosters. For Sanji to naturally move forward he has to step on the...
Have to disagree here fam, Sanji's Soru and Geppo utilize the technique of performing sequential steps at an extreme speed, as I'm sure you're aware of. The RS boosters clearly don't enhance that, they simply replace it. Moreover, Sanji is perhaps the most acrobatic fighter in the manga...
My biggest problem with the RS is that it gives Sanji two things he worked his ass off to gain by himself during the time-skip. Lliterally spent years running and as a result, developed super-speed and ability to fly. Oda then gives him those very abilities with the suit, and thus makes much of...
Maybe I could relieve some of your frustration, but I'm pretty sure Oda didn't intend for this to be a big moment or anything. He just wanted to establish the RS in Sanji's use, to set it up for future plot. He can't make Sanji reach his limits this early on, but at the same time he needed the...
