I dunno, I think he showed his wit, compassion(saving his friends), self-sacrificial nature(going alone without dragging his crewmates). I like to think that's the spirit of "Mr Prince". And against Enel(another Mr Prince moment) he pretty much did the same(wit, compassion and self-sacrifice).

I think he made the best out of the situation, and he did want to go to settle things.
