That is not exactly true, round 1 of Zoro vs Pica started on chapter 740 but the main round started on chapter 749 after Doflamingo used the Birdcage. That would be like including the first round of Luffy vs Crocodile to say the fight lasted 40 chapters. Zoro vs Pica was plenty long already.

Honestly yeah it's sad that this arc is supposed to be the "Reverse Shaboady" where the crew shows how much they have grown in the past 2 years but really aside from Luffy they are not really doing much. Zoro and Sanji have been getting a few cool moments there and there but nothing substantial...

Yeah the lack of focus on the strawhats has definitely been a big issue of post timeskip. In Wano people blamed the ridiculous amount of side characters as the reason why they got so little focus but now in Egghead, an arc with a much smaller cast, we can see that this was not really the reason...
