Sigh.
Zoro's been inferior to Luffy since Alabasta mate. The gap between them is huge, it has remained huge. He needed to go all out to defeat Lucci, who isn't even the third strongest person on the island right now, and that's after being all dirtied and all.
But sure, he's stronger than...
Okay I laughed !
Also, for the first time ever, the Strawhats have to let a countdown arrive to zero. It's really a testament to how powerful Luffy has become.
Excellent analysis.
I'd add that it isn't Oda introducing something new but actually returning the story to the dynamics it had during East Blue (yes, the very beginning). None of his foes were superior to Luffy back then. At best they were equals, as seen with Arlong or Kireg (somewhat) or...
Several of the adjacent Vegas are fine right ? So technically only the Stellas died, the others should be able to continue his work, I guess ?
Sure Luffy somewhat failed but still. Vegapunk isn't entirely lost.
:doffytroll:
Oh no, the ZKK crowds losing their heads again because their favourite is the equal of Sanji, and not of Luffy as has been clear since Little Garden.
It's just too glorious to pass up and put your face where it belongs : in the gutter.
Isn't Sanji's abilities as designed by Judge to turn invisible, ie to play with light ? It's possible his exosqueleton allows him to do it, like the invisible girl in My Hero Academia, no ?
In a closed environnement, or social circle, not showing the same potential as one of your peers is known to provoke a very neegative feedback which will makes you try harder, exhaust yourself, fail again, creating a vicious cycle, until you either take a step back and change your ways of trying...
Ever been in a situation where you see your peers succeeding and you don't, even just by a slim margin ? It just happened to me recently, where I failed an exam by 0.19 points when some peers passed.
It can be frustrating and discouraging as an adult. Now, imagine as a kid, in an environement...
They'd better wait before crying. We're on an island with clones, robots and a super scientist. Plus Bonney is there. Assume not anyone is what they appear to be !
Two theories :
this Dr. Vegapunk is not the original (she as a 02 jacket and is too young - even if with Bonney around it could be explained thanks to that).
Luffy will befriend the Seraphim because his head doesn't look like on his wanted poster for now, and they won't be able to recognize him.
Imagine so many peoples reading One Piece and really believing Sanji is n#4 and not n#3 when he constantly fight the third strongest of the crew. Sigh.
I don't see how anyone can defend Zoro's word (again shown as heartless bastard, as usual since post -TS really) by using the imbecilic things he said on Zou :
Not pick a fight with Big Mom ? Already done at Fishman Island were she never said she was okay with the treasure, only that her...
