Fights could be better choreography wise. But my favorite sanji has the best choreography most of the manga.

Zoros fights are usually a shitshow choreography wise. Luffy usually gets the best paneling and detailed drawings in general.

I wish his sword fights were better but they are still cool. My favorite parts of all the fights are the goofy aspect. There's always a gag. Even for zoro who's almost always serious. The goofiness is what made me love one piece in the first place.

Sometimes I ask myself if me and some OP fans are even reading the same manga. The Kaido fight is very different, especially since Gear 5 came into play, while opinions can be different it is in no way "cancer" and the Katakuri fight is one of my favourite fights so far.

Some parts of the fandom sound like spoiled kids which will never be satisfied by anything.

My major concern is about Non-Mugiwara fights.
Non-Mugi fights are either too short, unfinished or directly off-screened.

I just give up that we will never see a good non-mugiwara fight after seeing that:

-Ace vs Blackbeard was only 1 chapter
-Shanks vs Whitebeard was just 1 clash
-Roger vs Whitebeard was just 1 clash on panel, the rest was off screened
-The 1vs1 phase between Oden and Kaido's fight was merely 2 pages
-Aokiji vs Akainu was off screened
-Kizaru vs Rayleigh wasn't finished
-Etc.

Honestly if you ask me I'm really worried about Teach vs Shanks, I don't expect it to be a full fledged fight at all.
At best I can see Oda doing something very similar to Ace vs Teach.
If Shanks fans want to see him fighting properly they would better start to push the Luffy vs Shanks agenda

I honestly prefer them to be short. I don't want to spent 5 chapters on fights that aren't the Strawhats
The only one I wished was longer was Kid and Law vs Big Mom

Yes 5 chapters are maybe too much (I wouldn't mind though), but if Franky and Robin can get two chapters long fights each then I pretty much expect the same from top tiers.

Luffy vs Kaido (Final round) is one of the worst fights to be honest hhhhhh

I mean in terms of writing and critically it makes SENSE by the way.. with Joyboy.. what his fruit… awakening.. what it can do… it all falls right..

but in terms of entertainment… this fight in final round is dog shit hhhhh

This is why I always say “entertainment is more important than trying to make sense of things”

Because just because you try to write something that makes sense and consistent.. it doesn’t mean it will not look awful and boring as hell…

however… drawing an entertaining fight will forvever be revisted for the awesomness regardless if it made sense powerwise or not…

people will love how visually it looks..

It’s like for example Kuroko no basuke with the whole Zone power ups more and more we got from it… Some plots were written bad in series.. but it fucking entertained us…

this right here? That last round is less serious than Luffy vs Buggy hhhhh

I disagree that the Katakuri fight was bad. It was one of the only times where Luffy developed mutual respect with one of his enemies and Katakuri's character played into the themes of the arc really well
I really like the Kaido fight so far too, mainly cause it has a surprising amount of humor
