Why not I know you guys dont think highly of him but we have seen almost nothing from this character who kept worst criminal in impel down In check. With just his haki swordsmanship he is also future Zoro opponent for me he is worth it

Look at the kind of people Oda gives Supreme Grade blades..
- the Strongest Swordsman
- the Pirate King
- the Strongest Man & Emperor
- an Elder Star
- an Admiral

Even the Monster Samurai from Wano wasn't given one...
Shiryu just doesn't stack up to any of these guys.
Garp considered him a mere thug from impel down that Blackbeard recruited.

The man who ran through Roger's equal the Iron Garp is using a Supreme Grade? Hell yeah.
Roger is no longer a special benchmark, the man is inferior to EOS Sanjino.

Shiryu does not stand in the same league as the 5 other supreme blade wielders. That is not debatable.

The best Garp mustered against Shiryu is failing to block him and slam him onto ground to which Shiryu responds with - Fufu...
You cannot be convinced that Shiryu is that guy until you see the manga tell you otherwise. Supreme Grade should be a start.

1. Yoru is stated to be the "strongest black blade", while Mihawk is the strongest swordsman;
2. A sword's rank can increase, as Hitetsu/Sukiyaki said;
3. The number of number swords for each rank of meito seems to be fixed - 12, 21 and 50 (this isn't confirmed, but they seem so well rounded...).
4. All of the 12 we've seen so far belonged to an extremely powerfull fighter.

How the hell do you measure the quality of a blade? I think the closest thing we get is by combat. Maybe the way to move up the sword's rank is simply by combat. If one of the 21 defeat one of the 12, it takes it's place.

In the end, the user's skill, haki and overall fighting prowess count, but the blade has to be of quality high enough to withstand the user's power. The combat would prove it.

I don't know anything, it is just a thought that came to mind. It leaves other questions too, like how would things be if a nitoryu user defeats a one sword fighter (or a santoryu defeating, as it is bound to happen).

There is also one major flaw here: Shusui. It would have to have been defeated and it sure as hell doesn't seem to have happened while in Ryuma's hands. Or maybe it never faced one of the 12. Or maybe the ranking started after Ryuma's time. Hell if we know.

That number 3 premisse may be proven false, and then this whole idea would be disproven as well.

Reread the manga panels and the anime clip. He was saving Coby. Could Garp have used CoC to “see” Shiryu’s blade and grabbed/blocked is debatable. Shiryu did get Garp, but incidentally as the target was Coby and Garp took it for the team. Face it, without Aokiji, BB’s “leftovers” group on the island would have been hurting with battling Garp and Coby’s group.

Back directly OT, Shiryu will likely get a top blade but, like greenfraud, will be given it not earned it.

You got it all wrong.
It is not Aokiji who is responsible for Garp's demise, it is Shiryu.
The manga literally confirmed he is the reason why Garp is finally weakened.
Aokiji's efforts amounted to nothing.

Instead of blitzing and punching Shiryu away, all Garp could do attempt to stop his stab and he failed.
How do you know that greenfraud didn't earn a Supreme Grade?
How do you know Shiryu didn't earn a Supreme Grade? People legit pulling headcanon outta their asses as if they were Oda...

Nothing in those panels proves that GB didn't earn a Supreme Grade.
His main fight is where he gets to show off his worth.
And his main fight hasn't happened yet.

Once again, GB is not a fraud. Not yet at least.
Once he gets a full on-screen fight, then we will be able to tell what he is worth.
I very much doubt Gaban of all people having 2 Supreme Grades...

Especially when Oden wasn't gifted such.
Old legend like that scoring 2 of them doesn't benefit the story.
Because he doesn't need to be hyped that way while Aramaki of all people needs to be hyped, especially due to some bad treatment so far.
