Honestly, it could work, like after kid's defeat he could've washed up on elbaf, but found by gunko or shamrock or maybe another god knights who's already there, gunko fell in love secretly as kid is captured, and then kid is gonna break out of their clutches and beat her then fall in love after seeing how injured she is and since they have kind of similar personalities it could work (purely headcanon but would be good/adorable, would be kind of like baby 5 and that one dude)
