I agree to an extend, but it does say something at a primal level.
Zoro, with him being as irrelevant and butchered as a character as he is in post timeskip, is still only barely trailing behind Luffy - who the author has been increasingly shoving down on us as the chosen one and hogs all the spotlight post timeskip.
I find it interesting to say the least.
Naruto and one piece are comparable in quality IMO.
Both were peak until a certain point for me - Naruto until pain arc, One piece until Dresrossa arc. But both have since then massively fell off. Both even opted to go with the MC being chosen one by destiny, even though initially they were about hard work and grit (Naruto not being that talented and making up with hard work, Luffy originally having a "mid" DF that he made powerful with his hardwork and creativity).
What kind of depth are you referring to here? Maybe I'm misunderstanding something.
I haven't read or watched Harry Potter, and found it boring seeing some when my cousins watched, so can't comment on it lol
