Current Events 37 chapters covering Egghead island so far

It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have an overwhelming amount of breaks tbf.

37 chapters would usually be about 123 months roughly, without the extra unplanned breaks but with Odas usual monthly/every 4 chapters breaks and another month long break this year too. (And thus a years worth of chapters including breaks and a bit more)
But then again it has been 13 months since Egghead started too right? 14 max?

I still laugh at people thinking Egghead would be 10-15 chapters only or had that much early on, even before the traitor reveal I think lol.

I'm sure Egghead will end by late next year but I'm genuinely dreading how long Elbaf is gonna be too. I really cannot deal with another Wano length arc but given the sheer amount of characters, plot lines, mysteries, new locations and whatever else Oda has to wrote, show, resolve, whatever I'm terrified for future arcs now especially with Oda's health issues, the increase in breaks and possibility of yet more month long breaks if he's gonna be just as involved with Season 2 of the live action and even more seasons of they happen too.

I do feel the LA shouldn't have happened until after OP was done but Oda said this was his last chance to show OP to the world, to give it true global saturation I mean fame, especially with his "remaining lifespan" as he said too.

Given the LA has been worked on for 6-7 years at least (he even rejected Disneys proposal to do one ages ago apparently, Strawhats of the Caribbean anyone?), I can understand his sentiments too.

Oda needs to stop introducing so many new mysteries, plotlines, distractions, stalling, characters, plot twists (especially traitor stuff now although @Mr. Reloaded loves it ofc) and just streamline the story to the end, prioritise what matters but he keeps adding so many new things that could gave been saved for a sequel series instead of something imo.

Some things are being brutally neglected by Oda and it's very frustrating or in the case of Wano and Vegapunk, things we waited such an extremely long time for, were massively overhyped and an extreme letdown and betrayal (dammit again Mr Reloaded!, just utterly disappointing and inconclusive too.

If Egghead turns into another Dressrosa at least too, I'll scream and seethe too genuinely lol.

I can't believe how Pluton still hasn't been revealed, we've yet to still see Logia awakenings, Oda wasted so many plot lines at Wano but dropped some insane, game changing, unexpected twists at Wano when it was fucking over and just moved on without caring or elaborating (like that knew dumbass gigachad meme), we've still not had a dedicated arc for Shanks and Blackbeard, Weevil got offscreened by Green Bull after all that, Mihawk is now chilling in a circus with Buggy and Crocodile, we dont know who Shanks "snitched on" yet, Urouge has vanished into the abyss, Uranus and the egg on Rogers ship are still complete mysteries, Dragon is still inert and so on.
Also Smoker and Fujitora have legit just vanished for many years now too lol. Oda did Tashigi fans and Bogard hypers so dirty at Hachinosu/Fullalead/Beehive/Whatever too lol.

It's sad that the best parts of Egghead, like Wano are outside of the arc/island/main storyline itself too.
Less than 20 chapters to egg head end

1113 & 1114 are "One Piece" chapters . simply because of the puns
It would make no sense for Oda to miss out on this.

The One Piece might something to do with the moon, can't say for certain. But what is the purpose of Lunarians, why does VegaPunk make use of Lunarians. Seems like there's a lot more to it than just the power on its own.

There surely will be a surprise Enel reveal, my theory anyway. Maybe not the entrance that I would expect. But something has to be shown at some point.

Expecting realistically about 10 chapters of the current arc including what we have with the flashbacks and then a transition into something else ...

Eggheads been my favourite arc, and Oda proved his commitment to wrapping things up when he cut back to an occupied Egghead. It's been paced perfectly for an undersiege arc, and the breaks we get from the arc itself have been kino. I guess I understand where the doom and gloom about it comes from. Rereading both Dressrosa and Wano (after going through them weekly) shows that week to week really does warp perceptions about the series (though both have 2-3 plot threads that could have been dropped).

I understand we're all impatient to see the series done and over with, but when its over its over. Oda's been putting the story on overdrive as it has been, any faster and we'll be getting the cliff notes about the wrap up of One Piece. The character bloat is inevitable when you make a world as big and living as One Piece. While Doflamingos crew could have been smaller, but the Grandfleet and Kaido's BP really couldn't be. They are Emperors of the sea controlling vast swathes of the sea, it would be extremely underwhelming and lame for their entire fighting force to be unnamed fodder. They aren't stumbling around looking for Doctors, they aren't challenging their first Warlord, aren't even running from Admirals anymore. They are taking down massive pirate empires and soon the WG, of course the arcs are going to take longer.

Arlong Park was a bunch of fishmen bums Pre-TS Luffy low-diffed, Kaido/BM are Emperors with territory and massive fleets. I would think their arcs being of different length would just be common sense but I guess not. I'd also compare Wano and Dressrosa to see the massive improvement between, and judging by Eggheads pacing he's learned more lessons from Wano. I wouldn't even be surprised if he interweaves Kumas flashback with the crews counter attack on Egghead to prevent another Oden fb situation. We eating good and Oda is clearly picking up the pace which has always been the weak point.

I'd also like to state, that even if Elbaf takes years it would be years of Shanks pay off (at the absolute minimum). The only "lame" stalling Elbaf could pull is some shit with the giants... which would probably be that Straw Hat centric arc considering the only reason we would focus so hard (especially with Luffys new strength) would be to focus on Ussops "Brave Warrior of the Sea" dream. Even in a drawn out war the Marines and Blackbeard are not positioned to sit around doing nothing, and we would certainly be getting plenty of cut aways.

If I'm honest its not even undying faith in Oda, it's just comically hard to fumble Elbaf considering the amount of toys Oda has access to now that the story is ending.
