Now, the WSS title and the path to reach it... it's a very cool concept to me. But I think that Oda creating someone else with great drive and ambition who wants to achieve the same goal Zoro is aiming for and setting up a real rivarly between the two throughout the story would have been a very, very interesting dynamic, from which the story and the characters themeselves could have benefitted.

I would have loved such a thing. I like Zoro a lot and I am sure that I will very much enjoy the things he will achieve further down the line. But I personally think that this hypothetical character would have added a lot to the story.

I’ve always wanted a rival for Zoro. Before Yamato was fully revealed I thought that this could be the moment where Zoro is getting one.
I thought that maybe Yamato has one of the 12 supreme grade swords and lives the way of a samurai because of Wano.
