Kaido as a young man believed devil fruits were an essential path to power, a seasoned Kaido believed that you could conquer the world with haki alone and in the end its king. This doesn’t mean after honing one’s haki that you should stop using your devil fruit powers this is what people miss when discussing haki vs devil fruit. Kaido and Luffy’s big final attack wasn’t *just* haki or *just* devil fruit it was a combination. Giant magma dragon form blasting a breath laced in haki and a colossal island sized fist laced in haki and the last word of the clash is Luffy thinking back to his training so that he doesn’t have to make direct contact to strike. The lesson of Wano at least when it comes to battle is that great haki can overcome anything, great fruit plus great haki can be even crazier, and throughout the story we have come to learn that just a strong fruit with nothing else can only take you so far.

Why does that matter so much?
Both Kaidou’s Devil Fruit and the abilities it grants are better than any admiral’s, and his Haki is also stronger than all of theirs. Like, Kaidou just pulled off a 2–0 here.

Leaving Haki and the Devil Fruit aside, it’s 3–0 because he’s insanely durable and also extremely strong physically.

As if the admirals had impressive displays of haki like Kaido Lmao

In 1160 chapters, there is still no mention of Lakainu, Bumsalino, Kuzan, Foddertora, and Broccoli having basic CoC, not even future sight...

The only things you the assmiraL trolls have are: "in my opinion" bla bla bla, wishful thinking, head cannons, and, as always, bullshit.

Whitebeard: WSM due to world ending Gura powers
Kaido: WSC due to dragon devil fruit
Linlin: built her empire using the soul devil fruit
Outside their devil fruits, there are barely any notable feats against top tiers using base mode, you can only make a case for Whitebeard against Roger

Kizaru has actual cqc feats against Nika amd Rayleigh, two yonko killers, without direct usage of his power

We have Kuzan matching Garp the fist

Fujitora with a supreme blade and Greenbull with a black blade

Admirals in base are leagues above the yonko

This shit has been shown again and again in the manga even about Ace who overly relied on his DF.

They swore up and down kizaru the strongest admiral was going to show superior feats than kaido in egghead on panel and it turns out kizaru best feat in the manga came in a sbs 😭

Now they just spend all day attacking his character instead of feats they’ve completely abandoned the agenda.

His fruit is responsible for 95% of his durability, Xebec was kicking him around and treating him like a rug without it. His strongest attack is also mostly df-based, its lethality and temperature was highlighted.

With a df alone you can't do it without haki, a df helps a haki user and that's about it. It becomes part of them
