Young Kaido is impressed with WBs DF power, young Kaido wants a DF. Young Kaido gets a DF. Adult Kaido says that haki transcends all. See the fucking growth.
This shit has been shown again and again in the manga even about Ace who overly relied on his DF.
LassmiraLturds are just pissed because an Admiral got side quest mid diffed by Rookie Rocks and because no LassmiraL has shown ACoC so far.

Well here we are in the God Valley flashback, and thankfully Oda gave us more about Kaido. He has complained/asked/desired a fruit in 3 out of his 4 flashback his appearance.

He was coated in haki too. And was overwhelmed by a haki infused attack with barrier. Kaido is right that you can conquer the seas evem without a df that was his point. Roger, Xebec did it. Xebec mid diffed an admiral without any df.
With a df alone you can't do it without haki, a df helps a haki user and that's about it. It becomes part of them

Teach fans trying to advocate for DF merchant supremacy by claiming Kaido's best attack was a DF based one just because Teach is heavily DF reliant is too funny. Like y'all do know he has the power to remove a fruit, and will fight Luffy who Kaido was telling to improve his Haki if he wants to be the best of the best, for a reason right? Luffy isn't going to defeat Teach with just his fruit alone like most other fights lol, if anything Teach will lose because he focused too much on fruits and had Haki that was lacking comparing to Luffy. And that's not even slander to him specifically because I still think he'll be one of the top 2 strongest pirates of all time when it's all said and done.
