I know that the perception/hype of King has fallen down, from the point of view of some people.
But to be honest, I don't think that the King/Queen vs Marco situation makes King lose too much hype, from my perspective. Oda reminds us that they are two people worth more a billion and that holding them back is rough.
It's just that Marco is very fucking strong and Oda has depicted him as a monster throughout the story. His feats and his overall portrayal speak for themeselves.
I think that when it's all said and done King will look relative/extremely close to Katakuri. I am certain that he will show some very impressive stuff pretty soon.
He gets mocked right now by many but I think that part of the reason for why this is the case has to do with the fact that he simply happened to run into the wrong guy.
