General & Others Ace’s Novel : Part 2

hopefully you find it
from what I see there isnt one. wb recalled his duels with mihawk and no one else . still being talked about till today. mihawk doesnt see him as someone that can surpass him anymore. and shanks might have let go of the potential he might have had to the next generation. you can keep waiting on that but for me its conclusive.
shanks isnt stronger than mihawk. one could argue mihawk is stronger but I bet they are still about even.
I hope we all find it or this will never get definitively settled

Also its worth noting Mihawk was said to SEEK OUT Shanks for their duels. Not the other way around. Why seek out someone you could easily beat
Which has little to nothing to do with the beginnings of their duels, and which makes sense if Mihawk sought him out continually following their initial clash for the new challenge that Shanks offered, especially if unexpected before, and also makes sense when considering that Mihawk had made a name for himself before and around the time Shanks had set off on his own.

HA001

World's Strongest Swordsman
Yes it does. Mihawk himself says he doesnt bother to deal with small fries, but was continually seeking out Shanks... For what? He was the WSS. Was it to bully Shanks every chance he got? Why chase after Shanks if he was stronger from the beginning, which it seems like Mihawk was?

This Shanks vs Mihawk isnt black and white. The grey area is the truth of their rivalry.

The fact that Mihawk holds the WSS title having stopped fighting Shanks before Shanks was even at the height of his strength tells us something is off. Not sure what it is yet... But somethings not adding up and if you werent so biased you'd realize that.
Anyone who is stupid enough to say the dream of a main character is wrong is beyond help.
Shanks power level will never be more important than zoros dream.

I agree with you 100% Zoro EoS > Shanks

Not even debateable. We are on the same page.

Hi. I dont think we've had a discussion before.

but again here is the inconcistency. you think zoro surpassing mihawk eos means he will be stronger than shanks eos
so how much of a difference is there between shanks and mihawk
lmao
:kaidowhat:
you guys realize eos , he isnt blowing mihawk by the water.
I never said there was a huge difference between the 2 tho... ever.

The next few words were quite literally “as best we can tell.”

From what we know, when they first started fighting, Shanks was an upstart rookie, Mihawk had been said to already been developing a name. Mihawk should have been able to cruise by him, but didn’t. He didn’t handle him like he should have been able to, thus he couldn’t. That’s part of the reason Shanks is famous.
I love how the argument has rapidly devolved from ‘Shanks left Mihawk behind’ to ‘Mihawk couldn’t cruise by Shanks’ as each headcanon was debunked.

‘Shanks the upstart green rookie pirate’ with an apprenticeship under the Pirate King, at least one legendary pirate war and the Dark King’s training under his belt

‘Left Mihawk behind’ which is why Mihawk called him a ‘one armed has-been’, is the current WSS and is waiting for a stronger opponent.

Of course Mihawk can’t low-diff Shanks and vice versa. That’s what a rivalry is. But there’s a world of difference between saying Mihawk and Shanks were rivals since 24 years ago and saying Shanks ‘left him in the dust’, a statement contradicted by everything from Mihawk’s title to the fact that Mihawk is waiting for Zoro, not Shanks, to take his title.

So... What exactly happened in the last 7 years since Shanks and Mihawk stopped fighting? Even at this point in the Ace novel, the most notable thing Shanks has done is fight Mihawk.. which he hasn’t done for nearly a decade. Whew. Talk about peaking too early. :whitepress:
