Oars 3 is an ancient giant and Elbaf is the homeland of giants. Hence it’s very likely that Oars 3 was from Elbaf and Ace visited him on the island.

Since Oars’ death was never confirmed, it’s likely he survived and is currently somewhere in Elbaf.

Also think it’s possible that Ace fought Loki in the past and heard about Luffy from him, just like Yamato.
