I don't think Kidd was done in by railgun explosion + DD combo. He got rekt by DD only.


Railgun was getting charged but thing with such equipment or with any explosive material is they go off immediately when gets triggered or gets cut to be more specific to the context.

Here's the coloured version - we can clearly see railgun being cut in half with no explosion and Kidd getting directly hit by DD.

The official coloured version didnt reach that chapter so those are fan colorations.

The canon balls exploded after, even in the anime the people get blown away, some dudes weapon literally shatters and then Kidds Railguns laser reaches the canon balls and they explode.

Yes I do agree Kidd was blown away by DD like Oden was but it was mixed in with his own rail guns laser exploding on him. We see it in the anime at 1:05, there is a purple energy in the middle and then its mixed with red from Shanks and then kidd gets blown away, the same purple energy was coming out of his gun, the same purple energy was coming out of him when he landed.

Pretty sure that's the effect for Shanks' DD/haki.

Shanks DD/Haki was shown as Red. At second 31 you see Kidds energy coming out of his Railgun, its purple.

I originally thought so too, but no the attack went past his sword and hit him directly in the gut.

You can see there's no trace of a cut. Even the way his hips go back with his neck sticking forward is as if a powerful punch landed on him, it's the exact same posture Kidd had after taking it. It's not a cutting type attack.

Kidd also took it directly, it first blew apart his gun and hit him clean in the stomach.

Its shown in the clip watch it, he does DD, we see the inside of the Railgun showing Purple Energy flowing all over inside it, then its cut then we see Shanks red Haki and then suddenly there is a purple energy in the middle from where Kidd was charging his attack, it mixed in with Shanks DD and then Kidd got blown away.

When Oden was hit there was not circular energy in the middle lol.

Check from second 59 watched it in slow motion. There are two energies, one red and one purple.

When Shanks slashed the rail gun one side of his attack from the left was Red the other side was purple, its possible that when he hit the rail gun and the purple energy shown inside thats clearly seen when Kidd is charging is attack it was shot out on the other side as purple.

I understand your argument, but the dismantling of the Railgun isnt going to make the charged up energy magically disappear, you even see it still coming out of Kidds left arm when hes down :p.
