Its funny you say this because animators tend to be very picky and really do have quite high standards(its why lots of them don't like foreign animators who hand in sub par work, or when the compositing in the final episode hides their animation).

There was a former warner bros animator on 1066. Henry Thurlow got them in to do a cut of character acting.

The OP anime is fuckin garbage, probably one of the worst animes I've ever seen in general. The manga is 10 times better. The pacing, the animation, the music, the drawing, the recaps, the intro, the constant running around for 7-10 episodes at a time, the constant fodder reactions, everything is just bad. I prefer condensed canon only animes like Attack on Ttian, Bleach TYBW, Death Note, or Demon Slayer. I'll take 10 episodes of condensed canon quality over 40 episodes of 20% canon and 80% filler any day. Like we don't need to watch OP every week, its better if they had seasons.

But I can't deny that when the OP anime gets it right, they GET IT RIGHT. Zoro vs King and Sanji vs Queen looked incredible. Doflamingo and Crocodile vs Luffy were great. So was Law/Kidd vs BM. The rooftop battle was fantastic. Gear 5 Luffy vs Kaido will end up being an all time great fight in the anime. So essentially the anime is not worth watching until the big moments and big fights happen.
