General & Others Akainu did in 30 chapters what Kaido couldn't do in 150 chapters

Kaido fought the whole alliance for 60+ chapters and did nothing... while....

Akainu, in just 30 CHAPTERS of screen time, manipulated Ace so he can roast his organs into ashes, tanked more than 30+ pirate boats buster hit, mercilessly shooted magma fists at hundreds of pirates, melted a straying Marine subordinate, fucked up Luffy's mental health & gave him a neat chest scar, insulted and eliminated the worlds "strongest man" and still had the enough strength fought Crocodile + 12 WB's commanders all by himself.

Oh, and have I mentioned? He also defeated another admiral named Aokiji to achieve the Fleet Admiral position.

Akainu is the true goat

It's like saying: sickness did to Roger what the entire Marines (arguably the strongest military force) couldn't do in 50 years. Lol.

There's a thing called plot, when author wants to get rid off a character, then it'll do so, and if not, then you will get Kinemon effect, a.k.a pis or plot armor. Call it whatever you want...

Not really a fair comparison. Marineford existed solely to kill Ace and provide a reason for Luffy to want to train for the future of One Piece. Kaido, unfortunately, was just another arc villain. He was sort of like Crocodile, Enel, Doflamingo, Moria, and Hody before him.

Edit: Not saying that I liked that the Yonkos and their crews have been lacking as threats for a while now, but Oda’s style seems to be not killing off characters.
