Speculations Akainu & Kuzan almost the same Panel...

"Akainu facing the Whitebeard Pirates and Aokiji facing the Blackbeard Pirates.

Notice how both manga panels have the exact same structure (Giant on the left, YC1 in the same position someone slightly larger on the right.)

They are both facing their enemies."

He's right Oda most likely used th almost e exact same structure.

This could be a subtile hint that Kuzan is and will in fact never be on the side of Blackbeard his cooking his own meal - in the end of the day the Blackbeard Pirates are Kuzans enemies, time will tell his true motivation.

Look for yourself and enjoy:

Interesting

I never bought the whole kuzan being loyal to BB. It just doesn't reflect his character so far. He's definitely cooking something.

Yep, Kuzan is cooking his own and so as the Impel Down Titanic Captains, those only contributes to BBP as their goals aligns with what Teach is doing, only the original crew is what I believe who supports Teach like the SHP would support Luffy.

But Kuzan ain't a spy or what he did in Hachinosu is just plain dumb. Him, Garp and co. would've defeated the Titanic Captains at Hachinosu. Maybe Kuzan wants to learn what happen to the Void Century so he'd learn more about the WG, maybe that's why he agreed to Teach's proposal. Being a Sword member won't get you near One Piece, but aligning with a Yonko will.

Amazing Find

Imo, it's more of a Parallel between Luffy & Koby, as that's the whole idea behind both Scenarios, to Protect New-Gen
Akainu was after Future No. 1 Pirate, while Aokiji was after Future No. 1 Marine

Also since WB Pirates represented Akainu's Enemies while BB Pirates represented Aokiji's Allies
And WB/Luffy were the Parallels of Garp/Koby, then imo the same Applies to Rest
Meaning in this Arc, there is an "Ace", a "BB vs Sengoku" Fight and a "Shanks", but Opposite Scenarios

In other words, just like WB Pirates were trying to Free Imprisoned Ace, BB Pirates Imprisoned Someone, and We do have Moria indeed
So it does match, now the question is, who's gonna be the BB/Sengoku of this Reversed Scenario, and who's gonna play Shanks?

True, that's a good look but even independent of the Akainu panel, It's interesting Oda didn't draw the rest of the BB pirates behind Kuzan, which usually shows support, but rather Kuzan facing the BB pirates. This not only gives Kuzan distinction among the BB pirates, but it's almost like they are spectators of the aftermath or the final moments that took place.

It's honestly a thought provoking shot from Oda. It really gives off the feeling that it's Kuzan's burden to bear for taking down Garp, and he has joined with what should be the opposition (him facing them drives this point home, as he's still the outsider).

For reference this looks more like a shot of a crew in unison.

Very interesting, but regardless of his motives, the fact that he has become a lackey of the Yonko of the Sea, Blackbeard, will never change.

Yeah, no shit, Garp was his mentor and Kuzan has yet to do anything evil. This is Aokiji's tragedy and nobody realizes it: he has to go so deep undercover for the greater good, that he must hurt the people he cares about. And this only a few chapters after reiterating that he still regrets attacking Saul and doing nothing to help Ohara's people.
That Kuzan is a mole is clear to everybody, yet still most readers don't understand how much of a burden that actually is on him. I genuinely expect him to go full depressed/borderline suicidal by EOS, once BB goes full psycho and is no longer stoppable by SWORD's secret plan.

It's similar, it's about time Oda traced his own work.

But see, I don’t get why Kuzan would fake being a BBP.

If there was any time to betray teach, it was now. Had he teamed up with Garp, the two would have literally eradicated the bulk of the BBP.

What could he possibly gain by defeating Garp and handing him over to Teach, so Teach can use him as a bargaining chip with the WG?

Kuzan doesn't like the WG. The Ohara incident made it clear. He wanted to become Fleet Admiral to change it, but failed. He is now using a dangerous pawn (BB) to ensue the WG is changed, and is stayed close to said pawn so that when things are about to go wrong, he can stop it himself. It's part of his brand of "icy"/indifferent justice.

BB being an opportunistic dude most likely know Kuzan will never be a BB Pirate, he simply offered him to have his own goals ... BB simple sees him as a part-time ally.

But being BB maybe he waits for the moment to stab him in his back to acquire the Ice Ice Fruit.

But why did Kuzan choose BB ? His Agenda is still mysterious...

Crazy that its even down to the #2's being exactly where they are.

This is yet another where, imo, Akainu and Blackbeard (and subsequently Kuzan) must end their storylines together. It just seems to be that way figuratively.

I dont think this means that Kuzan is against the BBP though. He seems to be using them, which Blackbeard even agrees with to an end when he invites him onboard (that everyone has their own goals(

He already has been depressed since the Ohara incident. What happened to not only Saul but even Robin has been eating away at his conscience since. Which is why he continued to check in on her and only find a sense of relief after she joined the strawhats.

Pretty sure that’s when his “lazy justice” was born as well. He spoke of justice being able to drive a man mad to refer to Akainu, but it also broke him and forced him to question his path in life. Being lazy instead of doing things that didn’t align with his moral compass (like personally killing the strawhats in EL instead of casually watching cp9 getting beaten) has been his way of living with himself.
But see, I don’t get why Kuzan would fake being a BBP.

His purpose of aligning with Teach is not to eradicate Teach’s crew- there are many ways he could’ve accomplished that earlier and easier- but at a minimum to infiltrate the pirate underworld and likely to understand more of the true history and perhaps even be involved in finding one piece. Teach’s crew being eradicated would only hurt his agenda.
