General & Others All leakers are frauds

Not talking about the weekly spoilers leakers

I’m talking about people like gohdroger and others who supposedly have leaks about the ending of one piece or the endings of certain arcs.

The fact of the matter is that anyone who makes such claims can only be fraudulent. Why? Because this isn’t how stories are written. Oda didn’t create some sort of master plan for 25 years of manga in 1997.

No, like all other authors and especially serialized authors, Oda had a vague outline and filled in the dots as he went along. Half of the shit the fan base shouts at being “foreshadowing” are really just shit that Oda created spontaneously and merely gave the appearance of foreshadowing. Like the whole G5/skypiea thing.

Could skypiea have foreshadowed G5? Sure. But isn’t it also possible that Oda or the editors just re-read the manga and decided to use that dance scene as inspiration for G5?

Dont you think it’s odd how integral parts of the story like Nika, the supernova, Xebec, the burned man, Imu, Fujitora and GB all just appeared in the manga seemingly out of nowhere?

Stories are fluid. Writing is an iterative process. Anyone who claims to know how OP is going to end is a fraud, because in all likelihood, even Oda isn’t 100% sure how it’s going to end.

that will be frohdrogers defense though. his leaks were correct at the time, oda just changed his mind later.
That’s an unprovable hypothesis

I can do the same thing
> pretend I have leaks
> be proven wrong
> claim that Oda saw my internet posts and changed the story

With all due respect, this thread sounds like you’re more upset that people think oda planned a lot of these plots rather than being upset at the alleged leakers lol
Both the leakers and Oda stans fail to realize the obviously fluid nature of the story.

Every author writes things as they go, at least to some degree. Some plan more than others, but the point of a plan is just to give your writing some structure. It’s not meant to be a hardset rule you need to abide by.

Goda stans think 22 year old Oda pre planned 25+ years of manga back in 1997 and fraudulent leakers take advantage of this by claiming they have intricate knowledge on chapters Oda hasn’t even written.

Of course no one besides some of the former editors Oda had, knew the some outliners of end of the story, but even Oda himself haver said that he create a lot of things as the story goes.

Also, really dont believe anyone with one working brain cell believe some random on internet have leaks of the story end.

Oda can haver certain things in mind since the beginning, like "what is the One Piece" or "Shanks will die at X point of the story at the hands of Y character", but everything in between, and even the details of how those points go down, are subject to change widely and are improvised along the way.

What I said should be obvious in its own, but to give an example we can all factcheck, the Supernova weren't even part of the plan until the very last moment, and two of them brought down Big Mom on their own and were also involved in the fight with Kaido, despite Yonko having been part of the plan since way earlier in the story.

Nika, the supernova, Xebec, the burned man, Imu, Fujitora and GB
Yes.. you are right.. most of what people think are "foreshadowing" are actually not foreshadowing. But people actually miss REAL plantings (I will not call them all foreshadowings).

While what you spoke about seems to appears out of nowhere. That's actually not the case, they are ALL results of the story and its elements:

- Nika is the result of the main thematic of the story
- The supernova are the result of a logical hole in the story. A needs for Rivals characters
- Xebec is simply the morally dark pendant of the legendary status of big game characters, a simple mirror
- Fujitora is simply a logical extention of the admirals and their visions about justice toward a positive diversity

While they might not have been thought a long time in advance, those parameters ALL have a narrative logic and place in the story, therefore they do not come "out of nowhere".

Now, I will talk about Nika:

There is a VERY SMALL probability that Oda came up with the transformation "just a bit late". Its actually possible, but it would need a charge of luck and writting skill that would exceed the simple fact of having thought about it long in advance.

Now, its POSSIBLE (but highly improbable) that Oda thought about Nika as late as Fishmen Island (I don't see how it could be later) but the transformation was ALMOST CERTAINLY thought of at the very beginning of the story. I would not even be surprised if that's the second or third-ish idea Oda got about One Piece (the first being a manga about Pirates and the second being a Hero with the ability of Rubber)

The reason I'm saying that is that G5 is FAR from coming out of nowhere. It was planted and foreshadowed multiple times and its one of the CORE thematic revelation of the story. This is not only a revelation that is redefining the character of Luffy but the entire story and the thematic of the manga. And we need to understand the mindset of Oda when he created his story. He knew its end, meaning that he had the basic outline, meaning that he also had ALL of the three biggest thematics of the story ready to evolve (being the parent-child relationship, the thematic of Joy and the thematic of Freedom)

Once they stick to it. Author don't play with such revelations, actually they start FROM those type of revelation to create their narration, and once they are implanted in the outlines they are not removed. Those revelation are only meant to evolve toward deeper meaning and more impact. (as removing or changing them is detrimental for the entire structure thematically and narratively)

So while I agree with you that people tend to overestimate Oda... let's be cautious not to throw the baby with the bath water.
