They both have rad designs, but I’m not gonna lie, the one from the past looks significantly cooler (and more like a traditional Pokémon) than the one from the future…I chose Scarlet way back when these games were announced, and this does not make me change my mind

Well looks like I take Scarlet first... that thing is not a Pokemon it's fucking robot... kinda fitting for the actual arc for One Piece but still ugly

Yeah, I’m not fundamentally biased against “futuristic” Pokémon (I have fucked around and used a member of the Porygon family on my team for several playthroughs in the past), but I definitely gravitate more towards Pastphan than Futurephan, no question.
