Predictions on the final two rewards for completed HOME dex's.
SWSH: Keldeo
Let's Go: G-Max Melmetal/Mew
Why I believe it's almost certainly Keldeo for Sword and Shield:
• Just like Meloetta, Keldeo is actually catchable in the game as a secret encounter but you cannot shiny hunt it.
• Keldeo is available in Scarlet and Violet
• There is no research task to get shiny Keldeo in GO
• Keldeo has been shiny locked since it's debut 15 years ago
Why it can be G-Max Melmetal for Let's Go:
• Let's Go is in a unique situation where neither Mew or Melmetal are shiny locked and have been made available shiny multiple times, G-Max Melmetal has never been available shiny
• Pokemon Go's Pokedex is incompletable making this the only way to obtain one
• Melmetal's whole identity is being the GO Pokemon, it would be fitting to be obtainable through the GO inspired game.
Why it can be Mew for Let's Go:
• It's Mew. It's the most obvious pick for this game
• Mew is available in Scarlet and Violet
• Shiny Mew is arguably the biggest incentive to bring people back to complete this game.
Why it could possibly not be Keldeo for Sword and Shield:
• Keldeo is not the only shiny locked mythical in Sword and Shield
• Keldeo is not the only shiny locked mythical Pokemon from Unova awaiting to be set free
• A research event is very much still possible for GO in the future
Why it could possibly not be Melmetal for Let's Go:
• A regular G-Max Melmetal is already a gift for registering Melmetal from GO into HOME
• Receiving a Melmetal capable of using a gimmick not associated with Let's Go as a reward for completing it is a tad odd.
• Melmetal is not available in Scarlet and Violet. Making it perhaps less desirable for players who want to show off.
Why it could possibly not be Mew for Let's Go:
• Shiny Mew was already done through a paid research event in GO
• A regular Mew was already distributed in Scarlet and Violet during the Mewtwo vs Mew 7 star raid event
The second most likely candidate for SwSH: Victini
Why it can be Victini:
• There was that scrapped static encounter that generated a lot of buzz during the game's life this could be like a homage to the idea I guess?
• Victini is currently shiny locked
• No word on any GO event without the lock
• It would make for the perfect curve ball given that everyone expects Keldeo
Why it probably won't be Victini:
• Unlike Meloetta and Keldeo because the encounter was scrapped there's not a strong connection with Victini in Sword and Shield other than being coded into the game
• Victini is not available in Scarlet and Violet. Making it perhaps less desirable for players who want to show off.
• It could be a possible reward for Legends Z-A
Other not plausible but not impossible candidates for SWSH:
Marshadow
Zarude
Kubfu
Calyrex
Magearna
Volcanion
Why Marshadow/Volcanion/Magearna aren't impossible and are technically possible:
• Shiny locked
• Magearna and Volcanion are available in Scarlet and Violet
Why Magerna isn't likely:
• Magearna Pokeball color is already a reward for completing the National Dex on HOME
• Magearna isn't catchable in the game like Meloetta and Keldeo making it a random choice
• Could be saved for Z-A
Why Marshadow/Volcanion aren't likely:
• No relation to anything in Sword and Shield
• Either could be saved for Z-A
• Marshadow is not available in Scarlet and Violet
Why Zarude isn't impossible:
• Still shiny locked
• Is available in Scarlet and Violet
Why he's not likely:
• Would feel pretty random
• Will probably be unlocked through GO in the future
Why Kubfu isn't impossible:
• Shiny Locked
• Is available in Scarlet and Violet
• One of the mascots of the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra pack
Why I wouldn't hold my breath:
• Doesn't make a ton of sense to be the reward for completing all of SWSH's dex's. Only isle of Armor
• Still a new legendary (relatively speaking) could be a separate event in the future.

• Only Sword and Shield DLC legendary to not be catchable in Scarlet and Violet giving players a dupe

• Crown Tundra mascot
Why I wouldn't be hopeful:
• DLC mascot is both a blessing and a curse, why him over Kubfu?

all i did for BDSP back in 2021 was get my team of 6 (Infernape, Electivire, Togekiss, Floatzel, Weavile, Mamoswine) + Roserade and grinded the entire game past the final Cynthia rematch. Outside of the legendaries you could catch (Palkia, Darkrai, Giratina, Arceus, etc.), I literally have less than 10 pokemon CAUGHT in my box atm after I transferred my main team to HOME. Shiny Manaphy will likely be the only pokemon I will not be able to get my hands on.
Imagine hating on Cynthia.
outside of Pokedex/HOME catch entry requirements for the Gible-Gabite-Garchomp line, its quite literally Kill On Sight every time I see one of those POS in the wild. Will be forever be a lifelong grudge besides Gyarados, i don't give asf if its a Shiny version
Cynthia as far as I am concerned you can go....

undeniably the best Pokemon for raids btw.
Although Iron Hands and Azumarill have a major problems with spam. I couldn't begin to tell you how many Iron Hands died to Earthquake because their owners completely disregard the original type of the raid boss (Garchomp) or are kids that legit don't know how type match ups work.
