What you are not getting is that this applies to only luffy's main imp opponents like Imu and BB. Shanks won't be a serious fight (though given how much oda glazes he has a chance). Akainu is really nothing at this point given how badly his peer Kizaru got treated. If Kizaru's story end here without showing awakening , then admiral agenda is finished.
Bro he did 1vs1 Luffy for one round, then got 2vs1ed with Saturn. Then literally has been treated like an aftertought most of the arc with his shitty feats.
