Big Mom’s character is absolute fucking aids. She’s infantile, has outsourced all agency to the plot and its myriad forces (hunger pangs, amnesia etc) and is incredibly boring and one dimensional. Everything we know about her is forced down our throats by way of exposition “zomg wut info network11!1!” “create utopia W0W” but fails to play out in practice every time.

Kaido is not a character. He is a mishmash of random moustache twirling villain tropes, a punching bag to showcase Luffy and Zoro’s strength and is entirely forgettable. Hody Jones is a better villain, and that is really saying something.

Kaido is ok I guess
He’s no where near as good as crocodile arlong doffy enel etc.... there are much better written villains that’s for sure
He’s not interesting or compelling, just average

Big mom is pure garbage the worst character in the whole series and one of the worst characters I have ever seen

I am dissapointed about kaido's design not his personality. When i first saw his silouette by garp, i had in mind a mysterious, charismatic character with unique design. Instead of that, we got the typical hercules-tulkas almighty barbarian. I dont consider him a bad character at all, but i dont think he is great either.
Big mom is okay, i dont find her unstable personality as bad as many fans think it is.

Both of them act as final bosses-type of villains. They run empires and to do that you have to act as an emperor. Thus the mafia theme they both seem to embrace. Their militaristic nature makes their character more "restricted" in comparison to the shichibukai.

Thats the reason people like more shanks and bb, bc they are unpredictable.

Who shares a few hopes that Big Mom won't be completely trashed by the author and at least show some solid consistency to be truly worthy of standing as a yonko? I would be extensively pissed if she was defeated in this arc but also in a silly way.
Not me. Whole manga of OP is contradictory. People only die and villains only kill at flashback. Currently story where Luffy is in no one is dying. All those pirates that are cruel, Law that got 100 hearts and gave them to marines. Where are those evil pirates?

I feel like Big Mom was very close on becoming a great character and villain until Oda decided to troll and meme on her, making Big Mom look like a joke while at the same time trying to make her into a serious villain prevented her from becoming a great character and villain.

However if you ignore the trolling and the horrible gags, Big Mom is not that bad of a character and imo she's one of the more interesting Yonko's and she is so far a better written character than Kaido.

As for Kaido himself, he feels underwhelming and as a villain he feels very lackluster. I like Kaido but at the same time I find him to be kind of cliche, and I also find his character to be confusing at times.

At least Fujitora had a well written interesting and coherent character arc in Dressrosa with a purpose that changed the entire OP world in the process.

- Why don't you ask yourself for the reason Big mom and Kaido not even coming close to breaching the Top 50 popularity poll at the peak of their story relevance?
- Why are OP sales dropping like they haven't been doing in years during Wano?

Fujitora wasn't even a main participant of Dressrosa, just on the sidelines.
