General & Others Are Pacifistas going to be forgotten?

During Saboady and Marineford the Pacifistas were some of the hardest things Luffy and the Strawhats had to contend with. Being even stronger than the CP9, and needing the entire crew to defeat one at Saboady.
After the timeskip we saw the growth of the Monster Trio when each of them could defeat one of the “Old” models with a single shot. After we learned that during the two year timeskip, the WG had apparently created newer, stronger versions of the Pacifistas. But with the introduction of the SSG during the Reverie, supposedly strong enough to replace one of the three pillars the Warlords. Are the Pacifistas going to be forgotten?
One answer could be that they will be used more in the Paradise, where they are much more effective in the weaker sea, considering they are so expensive. And even during the war we saw some of the strong New World Pirates allied with Whitebeard able to destroy at least the “Old” models with relative ease.
One thing I thought of is them being used similar to the Giants we’ve seen in the story, and being used as a measuring and hype device to show characters either returning to the series or new characters defeating them with ease to show their strength.
Especially after Wano with how strong the Strawhats are and are going to be, even the “New” model Pacifistas don’t seem like they will pose a threat, but be more like fodder. With tens of them coming at once, just to be destroyed. Will the SSG taking the front seat.

Here's a big misconception, the SSG already had it's acronym drop in 957. It stands for Special Science Group. It's literally Vegapunks team of scientists, and whatever they are doing/making are serving as the Shichibukai replacements.

Back when the timeskip happened, Sentoumaru explicitly said that the PX models he brought were "old", indicating there are newer models.

Basically no, I don't think the Pacifista will be forgotten, in fact, I think the SSG created better ones, as well as other weapons to serve as Shichibukai replacements. Hell, the upgraded Pacifista (perhaps they all don't look like Kuma now...) could be the replacements themselves.

I don't believe so especially consider the fact that there are new more advanced models. I believe the new more advanced models we'll be around mid veteran level.

I think they'll be the thing, or part of the thing that replaces the warlords.

Of course not. Sentomaru's first statements in Saboady were about how the prototype pacifista were being defeated easily. This really denotes that the next big conflict the Marines get into, the finished products will be available and much stronger. I think they'll be far weaker than the Monster Trio though. Probably just on par with the likes of Franky, Robin, and those types of characters.

Old models are basically fodders now... Even Nami can one-shot multiple of those old models at once...

New models would probably need more "hits" even with the likes of ZSJ...

I think they will get replaced in the final war cause they are weak as well

Of course not. They'll probably be incredibly important in the final war. Plus, whenever we eventually see Vegapunk, they'll probably be a very key plot point whether it's through exploring the moral issue of human experimentation or just them being around their creator.

Of course not. Sentomaru has made it clear that the ones fought by the supernovas and the Whitebeard Pirates and their allies were only the prototypes and that new Pacifistas much more advanced and powerful are about to arrive in the Marines ranks. They may be the weapons of which Fujitora was talking about at the Reverie.

Pacifista are still useful as grunt units. They may be nothing to really strong characters like Luffy or Boa, but they still proved pretty formidable against several New World pirates who were allied with Whitebeard. Plus, as many pointed out, the ones that were disposed of easily by the Strawhats at the start of the timeskip were older models. The newer ones are likely part of whatever Vegapunk concocted. Basically, instead of abandoning a good thing, iron it out.
