Gender as social construct. If Yamato identifies as a man, therefore they are a man. But I doubt they are trans, I think they are genderfluid. Oh well both interpretation are valid.

I have a slightly different perspective when it comes to sanji, I honestly really like sanji as a character minus the constant gags, the masochism, and sexism in the form of putting all women on a pedestal and even refusing to defend himself against them (like I'm not saying he has to fight back or hurt them but just standing there and taking the abuse when he's obviously fast enough to dodge and has the haki to block is pathetic imo).
But the only time I find myself truly hating on sanji is when his diehard fans come up with asinine ideas and have absurd agendas revolving around him. It really shows when they get into powerscaling which I find to be a ridiculous waste of time anyway but they seem to throw the narrative and logic out the window and just agenda push like their lives depend on it.
