You realize that him being jealous doesn't change anything statistically also 99 percent of that worldwide success for Naruto is the anime where as one piece got shafted in the dubs cause of 4kids.

One Piece sales has never been a good argument considering that the majority of it is within Japan. It’s pretty apparent that it hasn’t been as popular as other shounen series introduced to the West in the 90s.
That shouldn’t stop anyone from considering it to be a masterpiece though. Neither popularity nor sales should determine that.

However, in Japanese (and french lol) culture, it'll remain relevant for a very long time.
