Way to many good moments with these characters in the whole story to remove anyone, yeah maybe post-ts have done the best with them but i think it just stupid beleiveing the story would be batter if removed a SH and question you as one piece fan who believe this.

Just the main 3. Something like Naruto's team 7.
The crew never needed more mains, any supporting character could have the jobs that the current Strawhats have.
Like this one ,this is just stupid.

As much as i like the others,i think he should have stopped after Nico Robin. Franky is useful but he could have also make Usopp learn some sci-fi skills to take care of the Sunny and make him evolve in this way,so he isnt necessary either. So i think a stop after Nico Robin wouldnt have been too bad.

I don't see a problem with having 12 or 13 SH, the problem is that it's too late to add new people. I give Jinbe as an example, the crew arrived in Wano without him, his role has no prestige, they sailed the most difficult seas without him. I think Oda should have included all of them right down to the time skip and then with training and joining the roles of all of them should have conquered the new world.
The good news is he at least has been around since basically Brook, so character wise, hes had his moments.

All these years and Oda doesn't quite manage to balance the crew and arc characters. Like okay, in a theoretical OP sequel Carrot would be the character they meet who "sailed with the pirate king once in the past." But that sequel is theoretical and meanwhile, she got several arcs with a better spotlight than Straw Hats like Franky and Usopp. That sucks.

I think it was necessary to have atleast 10 people in a crew. Having four or five members just doesn't seem right. Every other pirate crew has atleast 5-10 members. I don't see why the SH's should be any different.

I agree though that some of the crew seem to be useless in battle like Nami and Ussop. They spent most of their time just running away. They couldn't really do anything in Wano. I am happy that Robin and Brook have shown that they are competent in a fight despite the fact that it is not their main role.

I liked Freaky and Brook, but nowadays I would have preferred if we stopped at Robin.

Let Usopp learn how to fix the ships in W7, brook was really cool, but he didn't need to enter, nor does Jinbe, they would had been perfect side character that keep appearing again.

I would've liked Yamato, but that was not to be, and Wano was the absolute last point where adding a new crew member proper would be in any way okay

Jinbe better not get the Brook treatment. He was pretty instrumental during the raid, so I hope that continues

Let Vivi join officially then call it a day. Other notable potential crewmembers can function just fine as Grand Fleet members and strong allies.

I think all of the crew are fine. The issue is managing their panel-time and involvement and that moreso has to do with dedicating time to temporary supporting characters rather than the crew. Jimbei proved his loyalty and importance back during the Summit War Saga and I think even if a Helmsman isn't a necessity, he fits a nice role.

Overall, just give the Straw Hats memorable moments each arc even if they don't get tons of focus and highlight their value as crewmembers and friends even if a Helmsan or musician isn't of the greatest importance on a crew.
