I think medicine was not the problem, what happened afterwards is. Oda didnt show the after effects of consuming that medicine.

This plot point is only here because Oda needed a way to remove Zoro from the Rooftop in a satisfactory way for all the community. And King was the opponent that all the community agreed that Zoro should fight regardless if before or after rooftop.

And yes he would have been dead weight. But you yourself know this statement is meaningless because this is Zoro and that is a fact

Did you forget why Zoro needed the Minks' medicine? He stopped one of One Piece's most stupid attacks saving the day, if the battle had ended there.

And yes, without the medicine Zoro couldn't have kept fighting, but enough had already been done.

On the other hand, Sanjhi without the exoskeleton would be a dead weight or even Luffy without the G5, Law and Kid without their alarms...

Sanji was doing fine against Queen without exo. Much better than Zoro was doing, despite having magical swords. Zoro was being RAGDOLLED. Was Sanji ragdolled? No.
